  • Day 1

    Departure from the US

    Today you depart on your flight to Russia. Flights can be arranged from your chosen departure airport.

  • Day 2

    Arrive in Moscow

    Today you arrive in the Russian capital of Moscow where your guide meets you on arrival and you transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, there may be an opportunity to walk through Red Square, past the Kremlin and St. Basils Cathedral.

  • Day 3

    Moscow and the Kremlin

    Today you explore the fascinating Kremlin Armoury, one of the oldest museums in Moscow. Its collection includes the Imperial Crown of Russia and ten Faberge Eggs. In the afternoon you can explore Red Square and see Lenin's Mausoleum. In the evening you transfer to the railway station for an overnight sleeper train to St. Petersburg.

  • Day 4

    St. Petersburg

    You arrive in St. Petersburg in the morning. Sights to see today include the Battleship Aurora which fired the first shots of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution, and the Peter and Paul Fortress which was established by Peter the Great in 1703. In the afternoon we can take a cruise along the Neva River to see the sumptuous Peterhof Palace.

  • Day 5

    Hermitage Museum

    Today you visit the magnificent Hermitage Museum, one of the finest art galleries and museums in the World. Its collections include works from classical antiquity through to the modern art of Picasso. The afternoon is free for you explore St. Petersburg on your own. Perhaps walk down Nevsky Prospect and see St. Isaacs Cathedral.

  • Day 6

    The history of Leningrad

    Today you spend the morning on a fascinating tour which reveals the terrible hardships and suffering the city had to endure during its 900 day siege by Nazi forces during WW2. After lunch we can visit the Winter Palace, the former residence of the Tsars which was famously stormed by the Bolsheviks during the Russian Revolution.

    Free time in St. Petersburg

    You have free time today to explore St. Petersburg on your own

  • Day 8

    Fly Home

    Today you fly back home or continue your tour in Russia or Europe.
