Tours to Great Britain

Our tours of Great Britain encompass a range of thematic study options including history, music, theater and literature.

Britain’s Monarchy can be traced back in a largely unbroken line to the Norman invasion by William the Conqueror in 1066 and our tours discover his imposing Tower of London. We visit Henry VIII’s palace at Hampton Court and Windsor Castle which was favored by George III. Elsewhere in London, you shouldn’t miss Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. For a sensational view of the capital, take a trip to the top of the Shard, the highest building in Europe. We also discover the Roman period of British history at Bath where we can see the original thermal spa which dates to 60 AD, just 100 years after the invasion by Julius Caesar.  Elsewhere we can discover the England of William Shakespeare in the town of Stratford-Upon-Avon where his final resting place can be seen. In York, we learn about the Viking raids on northern Britain at the fascinating Jorvik Center. Our tours can also explore British music and culture. London’s theater-land is renowned throughout the world and we can arrange tickets for any performances. Outside of the capital we can visit Liverpool and explore some of the places associated with the Beatles including Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane.
